Drawing on public and private archives, family collections, and library holdings, the project reconstructs life trajectories and reimagines the region as a dynamic space of exchange beyond traditional geopolitical frameworks. Among its various lines of work, the project will also explore the use of TEI Arabic scripts, offering new perspectives on the Red Sea, belonging, and historical memory.
